8’ Fiamma F45S Awning

Retail Price: $2,695

Fiamma is the gold standard of awnings, and the F45S is a significant upgrade from the F35S, which you might see on other Metris vans. It’s easy to operate, long-lasting and provides excellent coverage. We can install it on a conversion we’ve done or on a van you already own. Having installed hundreds of awnings of various brands and types over the years, there’s no doubt that the Fiamma F45S is the best for this vehicle. The installation has three parts: an awning, a drip rail, and two custom-engineered brackets which connect the awning to the drip rail.

Weekender Lighting Package

Retail Price: $895

This is our retrofit job to add internal lights to a Metris Weekender. It does require an existing auxiliary battery package.

The earlier versions of our Weekender product could have had better interior lighting (and very early versions had none). Over the years, we developed the processes to integrate low draw, flush mounted, LED lighting into the Weekender headliner. These lights are a game changer for using your Weekender. You need to come to Peace Vans for this upgrade as we remove the headliner, modify it and integrate it with some new wiring.

Camping Heater

Retail Price: $3,995+ (Must have existing Auxiliary Battery Solution)

One of our most popular upgrades, the Webasto Airtop 2000 STC camping heater we install, is the best in the business. We use the gasoline model and tie it to the van’s fuel tank, so there’s no need to worry about running out of heater fuel. Even on high, the heater burns only 0.07 gallons of fuel per hour. The heater is a game changer for off-season camping, allowing you to stay warm and toasty whatever the weather.

Note: The Price listed includes installation during the initial build. Retrofitting a heater to an existing build requires significant disassembly and is more expensive. Contact us for exact pricing. An auxiliary battery package is needed to install this product.

1.5" Suspension Lift Kit

RETAIL PRICE: $2,095

Off-road with a bit more confidence! Taking our many years of VW Camper Van experience and expertise, we worked with local fabricators to create a 1.5" lift kit and give your Metris some much-needed additional clearance for getting to those unique spots off-road. This upgrade also increases your wheel and tire options. With our Yokohama Geolander A/T tire upgrade, you’ll be almost 2” taller.

The price listed here includes installation and alignment - if you’d like to have the lift kit shipped to you and installed by a local shop, it can be purchased in our Accessories Store.

Performance Suspension Lift Kit

RETAIL PRICE: $3,295

Our performance suspension lift kit is a great way to add more ground clearance to your Metris while also allowing for an upgrade in tire size, enabling more aggressive tires that drastically improve the performance of the Metris in off-road and snow conditions.

For customers who want to go the "next level," the Performance Suspension Upgrade is a complete overhaul of the van's shocks and springs using a time-tested and proven kit from our parts at the Twin-Monotube-Projekt company in Germany, who engineer and manufacture performance upgrades for many vehicles. Not only does this kit lift the van 1.5” to allow for improved clearance and application of bigger and better tires, but the handling of the van is markedly improved with a tighter steering feel and all-around upgraded performance. Our standard lift kit works great for most customers, but this is a fantastic upgrade for those who care about the "drive feel" of their vehicles.

150Ah Lithium Battery Upgrade

Retail Price: $2,495

Like to camp off-grid for days and days? Use lots of power-hungry gear while you’re camping? If so, this upgrade is for you.

A brand new Peace Vans exclusive LiFePO4 battery that fits in the stock location and provides over three times the usable capacity of the standard AGM Auxiliary battery. That means you can leave your fridge on, charge your devices, run your heater, or do whatever else for three times as long before you have to think about recharging. We worked hard to tuck everything into the stock locations to avoid eating up any storage space and searched the globe to find this battery and bring it to market. It is an excellent upgrade for any van.

Retail Price includes the battery, Victron Orion DC-DC Charger, fuses and other materials, and installation labor during the build. If you would like to retrofit an existing van, there is an additional charge, as it requires significant disassembly. Contact us for info and options. Requires the Peace Vans shore power & solar connections - standard on all Campers but optional on Weekenders.

All Terrain Tires

Retail Price: $1,195

If you’re anything like us, you will want to explore beyond where the pavement ends. For improved off-highway capability, we offer the A/T tire upgrade. We spec the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 in the 225/65 r17 size, which is about 1.5 inches larger in diameter than the stock tires giving you a bit of additional ground clearance. More importantly, they offer significantly better grip and puncture resistance off-road without sacrificing on-road performance. While not a substitute for a true winter tire, the Geolandars are also severe snow service rated (3PMSF) for confident traction in the winter. We generally advise pairing these tires with our 1.5” lift kit, but they fit the stock suspension.

Want actual winter tires on your van? Or BFG KO2s? Or something else? We’ve got lots of miles on these Geolandars and are very happy with them, but we can source a variety of other tires for new van builds when requested. Contact us for more info.

Operable Sliding Windows

Retail Price: $995 per window

Perfect for ventilation and fresh air in your van, these sliding windows can be installed on your Metris van slider doors. Each window also has a screen to keep the bugs out. Tired of the stock windows that won’t budge? We’ve got you covered.

Note: The driver’s side operable sliding window is standard on all Camper builds. This option can be added to the passenger’s side on the Camper or either/both sides on the Weekender.

Weekender Auxiliary Battery Upgrade

Retail Price: $2,095

All of our vans come from Mercedes with the factory auxiliary battery, but to optimize its use for camping, we offer our auxiliary battery upgrade for the Weekender model. This upgrade includes wiring in a solar power charger, shore power charger, hitch-mounted plugs, and an assortment of “always on” 12V USB/cigarette-style inputs. All chargers are from Victron Energy, who make the highest quality electrical components available, ensuring your electrical system will be reliable and problem free.

Note: Listed Price is for installation during van conversion; additional labor is charged for retrofitting an existing build. Contact us for more info. All charging components are standard in the Camper build; the upgrade option is for Weekender only.

Roof Racks

Retail Price: $695 for Tracks, $795 For crossbar system, $220 for Stronger Struts

If you’d like to add a bit of utility to your van, our roof rack track system is compatible with Yakima and Thule crossbars and accessories. The tracks are professionally mounted by our Seattle team and are inset in the pop top, so they do not add height to the van (crossbars and accessories will add height).

If you’d like to pick up your van with a complete rack system ready to go, we offer the Yakima Jetstream Crossbar with Skyline Towers and Landing Pads.

We have sourced more robust struts for the pop top, allowing a bit more weight to be left on the roof. With the more robust struts, 60-70 lbs of gear can be left on the roof when the top is popped. Note that the lightest cargo boxes weigh about 45 lb, but this still allows a box and a small amount of gear to be left up there. The stock struts can hold about 20-30 lbs. In either configuration, the max weight when the top is down is 125 lbs.

Dometic Powered Cooler

Retail Price: $1,200

An excellent fit for the Weekender model, the Dometic CFX3 55IM powered fridge will allow you to keep your food fresh and drinks cold off the grid. It even can make ice, so you’ll never have a warm cocktail at camp. An auxiliary battery package or other external power source is required. More info at (dometic.com)

Rear Pull-Out Kitchen for Weekenders

Retail Price: $2,295

The team at Peace Vans knows a few things about how to use a Weekender-style van. With all our years of knowledge, we worked with a local craftsman to create an awesome utility/kitchen box that fits perfectly with the rear seat we install in our Weekender style conversions. The “Kitchen Box” is an actual furniture-grade piece of equipment - made in Washington of the best materials and hardware and finished with Richilte - an incredibly durable and sturdy material. With plenty of storage, easy-to-use drawers, and well-thought-out features, this is the perfect accompaniment to your Weekender or Getaway Van.

It is designed to come out but weighs over 100 pounds, so not something you’ll want to tackle yourself. With an additional custom adapter that we make, it can be installed in the stock Metris floor without a PeaceVans conversion.
