METRIS CONVERSION STYLES: WEEKENDER VS. FULL CAMPER

What conversion styles does Peace Vans have?

We're diving into the world of Peace Vans Metris conversions and highlighting the two distinct styles that we offer: the Full Camper and the Weekender. Whether you're an adventure seeker looking for a fully-equipped travel companion or a weekend warrior seeking a versatile van for your spontaneous getaways, Peace Vans has you covered. We’ll delve into the features, layouts, and unique qualities of these two remarkable Metris conversion styles that will surely inspire your next epic journey. Regardless of which you choose, a Peace Vans Mercedes Metris camper van is a perfect choice if you’re looking for a roomy camper but still want a daily driver that can fit in a standard parking space.

The Full Camper is best for those who take frequent trips–it features a kitchen with two stoves, a sink, a refrigerator, two beds, and plenty of storage space. On the other hand, the Weekender is the better choice for those who need a minivan during the week but enjoy camping on the weekends. It also includes two beds but not a built-in kitchen, allowing for more storage space.

Here’s what two of our customers Doug and Lyn said about their van:

“Wow, you guys. Peace Vans really nailed it. We knew we would be getting a world-class van based on our long relationship with you, but spending our first nights in the van was a real treat. The best part? The pop top is actually comfortable for adults, unlike the VW! While we’ll miss the waves on the road from other VW owners, we are excited to meet other Peace Vans Metris owners as that family grows. We can’t wait to show the van off and recommend it more.”

The Full Camper Conversion

The epitome of freedom and adventure on wheels, our Mercedes Metris Full Campers are similar to the classic Volkswagen camper vans but have a modern twist. With a spacious interior designed to maximize living space, the Metris is equipped with all the essential amenities for a stress-free getaway. Complete with two beds, two stoves, a refrigerator, ample storage, and more, this conversion is the perfect camping vehicle for short-term and long-term adventures. The Full Camper is a home on wheels and has everything you need for weeks or months on the road—every inch of this camper van has been thoughtfully designed to ensure a seamless travel experience.

The Weekender Conversion

A versatile and compact road-trip companion, the Weekender van is the perfect solution for folks who need a minivan during the week and a camping vehicle on the weekend (hence the name!). Unlike the Full Camper conversion, the Metris Weekender prioritizes agility and mobility, making it perfect for adventurous souls seeking a vehicle that can double as an everyday ride. The interior of the Weekender feels just like a regular minivan. It has a full-width bench seat with space for three adults and entry/exit access through both sliding doors. But when you head to camp after work on Friday evening, you can pop the top, fold the rear seat into a bed, and sleep four comfortably. Because we omitted the cabinetry from the Weekender design, the lower bed is bigger and provides more sleeping space.

Which conversion style is right for me?

Each conversion style offers different benefits.

We recommend the Full Camper to people who:

  • Prefer to cook their meals on trips

  • Like to take longer road trips (weeks or months)

  • Want the feel of a “home on wheels” without having a large RV

We recommend the Weekender to people who:

  • Prefer to take weekend trips

  • Have a large family or need for a minivan during the week

  • Like to have more space to move around in the van

I’m ready to hit the road–how do I order a Full Camper or a Weekender?

Below is a graphic outlining the steps for purchasing a Metris camper van. Our current time from order to delivery is approximately 8 months, so we recommend ordering as soon as possible if you want your van by next summer. We have less than 50 vans left in stock before the Metris is gone, so secure yours now!
