CELEBRATE NATIONAL TRAILS DAY

Get Outside, Join a Local Event, and Take the #NationalTrailsDay Pledge

What’s National Trails Day? It’s a day to connect with friends and family, head outside, and leave our trails better than you found them. That’s our kind of day!

Each year, millions of people all across the country unite on the first Saturday in June in celebration of American Hiking Society’s National Trails Day®. On June 4, we invite you to mobilize your community of outdoor enthusiasts and join the nationwide movement to improve some of the outdoor spaces we treasure most.

There’s something magical about being in nature: the fresh air, the singing birds, the warm sunshine. Whether you’re hiking in the woods or strolling around your neighborhood park—there’s nothing quite like exploring the outdoors. But today, trails and public spaces are in dire need of our help—and not everyone has access to or feels welcome in these places that calm and inspire so many of us. National Trails Day® is the perfect opportunity to get out there with the people you love, give back to the trails that bring us together, and make sure no one is left out.

Peace Vans is proud to provide financial support to American Hiking Society. We’re honored to help further their mission to protect public lands, provide equitable access for ALL, and steward and care for these very special places. American Hiking Society envisions a world where everyone feels welcome in the American hiking community and has permanent access to meaningful hiking—including urban, frontcountry, and backcountry opportunities. The organization works to achieve this vision by empowering all communities to enjoy, share, and preserve the hiking experience—advocating for the protection and expansion of hiking spaces, fostering trail stewardship, and collaborating with partners whose strengths are complementary.

We invite you to learn more about American Hiking Society and join us in supporting their mission.
